The charity art auction organised by the ELSTERWERK Foundation in cooperation with Kult!INKoffer sends out a strong signal and marks an important milestone!

Creativity and inclusion take centre stage - 13,150 euros for regional cultural funding

The evening offered guests the opportunity to bid on unique works of art and engage in dialogue with the artists.
Under the direction of auctioneer Sebastian Pöschl (director of the "Kleine Galerie Hans Nadler" in Elsterwerda), 24 works of art were auctioned off that were created in the Kult!INKoffer art courses under the art education direction of Isabell Wiehmert. Kult!INKoffer is an accompanying programme of the ELSTERWERK and offers people with disabilities an indispensable platform to make their voices heard and visible through art and culture.

The variety of motifs and techniques reflects the high level of expressiveness and creativity of the artists, for whom art is an important means of self-development.
"The special thing is that I am accepted for who I am." (Patricia Starke, 20, artist, visual arts group)

"Everyone can be who they are, you don't have to pretend. That's unique! It's fun to have lots of opportunities to try things out.
I'm at Kult!INKoffer because I can contribute my ideas here." (Marius Kuring, 20, artist, visual arts group)

The event was also a strong boost for regional culture and an example of successful inclusion through art. The auction ultimately raised a considerable amount of 13,150 euros for the promotion and further development of art and culture at the ELSTERWERK.

Many thanks to all participants for their commitment.
