Berlin/Potsdam, July 2025

The Special Olympics State Games Berlin & Potsdam last weekend were fantastic and emotionally moving days for our ELSTERWERK team, full of power, heart and team spirit.

The intensive preparations paid off. Our athletes won big:

Gold (male, female) & silver (female) in the mini javelin throw

Gold (m) & bronze (f, 2x m) in the shot put

Silver over 100 m (f)

Bronze over 200 m (m)

Bronze over 400 m (m)

This great result proves that sport unites and that everyone can do their best. A huge thank you to our dedicated coaches, who put their heart and soul into coaching the athletes!

Despite the rain on Saturday, we didn't let it get us down and also experienced sporting diversity and solidarity in basketball. On Saturday evening in Potsdam, we celebrated, laughed and danced at the athletes' disco - a real celebration of joy!

These games are more than just competitions - they stand for inclusion, respect and fair opportunities. And we already have our next goal: the 2026 National Games in Saarland, maybe even the 2027 World Games!

Thank you to everyone who has supported us - together we will continue to work towards an inclusive future!
