Last Friday, 7 July, the state football championships for workshops for disabled people took place at the Werner Seelenbinder sports centre. ELSTERWERK was the organiser this year - the event was planned, organised and carried out by Karsten Respondek and his team from the Herzberg facility.

In addition to ELSTERWERK, 10 other workshops from Brandenburg took part.

Despite the loud cheering, ELSTERWERK was unable to beat Cottbus in the semi-final, but secured a clear 4:1 victory against Eberswalde in the match for third place.

At the award ceremony, all participants received medals and trophies, which were made at the ELSTERWERK factory in Luckenwalde.

In perfect weather and sunshine, many spectators enjoyed the games, which were characterised by fair play, top sporting performances and exciting goal-scoring moments.
