The vernissage of the fourth Kult!INKoffer exhibition entitled "Order - Disorder" took place on Thursday, 13 June at 6 p.m. at the TagungsHaus im ElsterPark in Herzberg.
The exhibition "Order & Disorder" is dedicated to the artistic representation of order and disorder. It presents a wide range of artworks that deal with the theme in a variety of ways. From drawings and paintings to prints and collages, various art techniques are used to explore the concepts of order and disorder.
In the form of interviews, Ute Schmerbauch presented the authors of the kikSchreibWerkstatt with their own texts on the subject. Almost all of them dared to take to the stage. They shared their thoughts with the guests present. It was sometimes very amusing, but sometimes also very moving to see the emotions behind the lines or in the works of art on the wall. The painting techniques were also discussed and each artist described their creative process. It was incredibly interesting to see how, for example, everyday objects or even toy matchbox cars created the picture with their tyre tracks.
The musical accompaniment provided by the kikBand made the evening wonderful for all the guests present.
"The exhibition emphasises the diversity of techniques represented. Some artists use abstract shapes and colours to depict the chaos and unpredictability of disorder, while others use precise lines and geometric arrangements to capture the structure and harmony of order," explains Isabell Wiehmert (Head of Art).
"The writing workshop enriches the exhibition with a selection of texts that also deal with the theme. These texts and artistic works were created as part of courses that deal with the question of how disorder affects us and what meaning order has for each individual. The works offer the opportunity to look at the topic from a different perspective and to reflect on the individual perception of order and disorder," adds Ute Schmerbauch (head of the writing workshop).
