The high ropes course
Here you can put your courage and self-confidence to the test. Our ropes course at ElsterPark includes a high ropes course, a low ropes course and a training area for groups, with exercises that can be performed by two or more people at the same time.
Low ropes course
The low rope course is at a height of 60 centimetres - that doesn't sound high, but it's still not an easy balancing act. However, the elements can also be easily negotiated by people with disabilities in adapted difficulty levels.
The challenge here is to master the series of 5 obstacles in a variety of entertaining and exciting ways.
This includes completing the two balancing or climbing elements close to the ground. Elements such as the "liana walk" or the "gap bridge" require team spirit, helpfulness and physical skill.
High ropes course
Here you can go higher. Elements at a height of 4.5 metres and 9.0 metres with varying degrees of difficulty lead to the 55 metre long "Flying Fox" zip wire at the end.
Level 1 (at a height of 4.5 metres)
Access to the main platform at a height of 4.5 metres is via a staircase. The platform itself is the starting point for two different courses with 6 different elements. Each participant is secured via a top-ope belay system (permanently secured, no need to recline). Those who have shown what they can do on the punching bags or the "Herzberg Bridge" are allowed to go even higher.
Level 2 (at a height of 9 metres)
A climbing chimney 5 metres long leads to the platform at a height of 9 metres. Here you have to master 8 moderately difficult elements ("organ pipes", "pirate cross", "flea jump"). Once you have mastered all these elements, you return to the ground via the Flying Fox ("bat" free flight on the cable car).
Team training area
Pulling together
There is an extra area at the ropes course with 6 special elements for working with groups and school classes or for company training sessions.
These enable experiential educational work under the aspect of team building. The "giant ladder" not only requires strong teamwork, but also trust in the other participants.
Good and clear communication, e.g. in the "partner crossing" or the "floating bridge", is also required here.
All exercises are characterised by a high level of challenge and allow two, four or more participants to climb at the same time.
