Workshop market
Once again this year, the ELSTER WERKE workshop market took place in Herzberg to get people in the mood for the coming Christmas season. Visitors were treated to a wide range of products from the various areas of the workshop. Decorative items made of wood, clay, paper or felt were painstakingly handcrafted by the workshop work area. A colourful sea of cyclamen and poinsettias as well as a large selection of high-quality wreaths and grave arrangements for Eternity Sunday had been prepared by the staff at GrünHaus.
In the ElsterPark ErlebnisWelt tent, guests of all ages were able to try out a variety of team games. Adventure educator Susann Unger had set up a large wooden tower from which task blocks could be pulled out. The visitors had a lot of fun with various throwing, ball and catching games.
Art, culture and activities for ALL
Musical and cultural entertainment was provided by the theatre and culture group, an accompanying offer from ELSTER WERKE gGmbH "Kult!INKoffer". The play "Pausenstreit" celebrated its premiere and the "Snow Queen", a story in lovingly designed pictures with musical accompaniment, was performed. The audience was interactively involved - the spectators were thrilled. The line dancers inspired many participants at the dance workshop with country music. The "Zukunft Elbe-Elster-Land" savings bank foundation presented a very special cheque for 25,000 euros to KultINKoffer on Friday. We would like to thank them from the bottom of our hearts. This generous support is urgently needed for the many different areas of Kult!INKoffer.
The little ones from our Herzberg integrative daycare centre "Märchenland" delighted the audience with a colourful performance at the ELSTERWERK.
BlauHaus provided culinary delights at the workshop market on both days. There was plenty to do - including for craftspeople working with wood or paper at the craft stands of our wood workshop and the vocational training centre. Angels were made from egg cartons, tea lights from wood and Father Christmases and poinsettias from folded paper. The "House of Diversity" supported us with a stand where various motifs could be pressed onto badges. The engraving area of the ELSTERWERK offered beautiful gift ideas with individually lasered wooden pendants.
The HR department was also on site with an ELSTERWERK job vacancies information stand. Numerous visitors came to our workshop on both days and enjoyed the varied programme and the magical atmosphere of lights at ELSTERWERK until late in the evening.
