The Shift Change Action Day enables workshop employees and employees from companies to change jobs for a day, exchange ideas in person and get to know new perspectives together.

A change of perspective through the shift change

On 10 October 2024, workshops for people with disabilities from all over Germany took part in the nationwide "Shift Change" day of action to discover new perspectives on the topic of participation in working life. Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz praised the day of action as a clear sign of greater inclusion!

The Shift Change Action Day enables workshop employees and employees from companies to change jobs for a day, exchange ideas and discover new perspectives together.

The shift change at our Herzberg branch began with a warm welcome from Ute Drümmer (Head of Training and Social Affairs), René Kunde (Group Leader), Celin Lehmann (mentor) and Markus Wagner (advisor) from the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. This was followed by a presentation of the ELSTERWERK group of companies and a tour of the Herzberg site. There were exciting insights into the vocational training area with the group leader René Kunde. Mr Wagner from the BMAS also had the opportunity to get to know the processes and structures at our Herzberg site and learn more about digital learning with Didab E-Learning. At the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in Berlin, our workshop employee Marius Kuring had the great opportunity to get to know the working methods and gain valuable experience.

A day at the BMASin Berlin
Our workshop employee Marius Kuring travelled to Berlin for this year's shift change and took advantage of the unique opportunity to work at the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) as part of the shift change campaign! The BMAS took part in the initiative for the third time to provide exciting insights into different working environments.
The campaign day is more than just a change of perspective - it creates new encounters and promotes dialogue between the generations. For Marius, it was a great opportunity to familiarise himself with how the ministry works and gain valuable experience! A big thank you to the BMAS for the warm welcome and the opportunity to experience this unique day. We look forward to the next shift changes and the opportunities and encounters they will bring!

We would like to thank all participants and contributors who made this great "Si(ch)twechsel 2024" possible!
