Minister President Woidke on the trail of the Reformation
Ahead of the Luther Year 2017, Brandenburg's SPD Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke is travelling in the footsteps of the reformer. On his traditional summer trip, Woidke visited St Mary's Church in Herzberg and the ElsterPark, among other places. Representatives of the tourism industry and press, radio and television journalists from the state of Brandenburg and Berlin also took part in the trip.
After visiting St. Mary's Church in the city centre, lunch was served in the BlauHaus. The press trip participants were then given a tour of the TraumHaus to see for themselves how well the accessibility has been realised. The generously proportioned rooms, the colour coding system and the aids available leave nothing to be desired, especially for our guests with disabilities. We received great recognition for this.
The ElsterPark is offering a special package for the Luther Year. You can stay overnight in the TraumHaus and a special Luther menu is served in a pleasant atmosphere in the BlauHaus. You can also book leisure activities (e.g. climbing in the high ropes course, bike and canoe hire, archery and much more) or follow in the footsteps of Luther and Melanchthon in the historic old town. The proximity to Wittenberg and the other Reformation sites of Jüterbog and Mühlberg have won over visitors and we are sure to welcome many guests on this occasion.
