Louis Braille, the inventor of Braille, was born on 4 January 1809. In honour of his invention, which enables blind people to read by touching dot patterns, we are celebrating Braille as one of the most important tools for inclusion and independence.

Accessibility is a top priority in the ElsterPark: Visitors will find information boards in Braille along the nature trail, and a Braille menu is also available for blind guests in the "BlauHaus" restaurant. Here, blind and visually impaired people can make their own menu choices - an important step towards greater participation and independence.

The ElsterPark in southern Brandenburg is a barrier-free educational and ErlebnisWelt centre that offers guests with and without disabilities a wide range of activities. From the barrier-free hotel "TraumHaus" to culinary experiences in the "BlauHaus" and exciting educational programmes in the "ErlebnisWelt".
