GoodWill Day 06.09.2023
Festival fever for this year's GoodWill Day in September
The ELSTERWERK group of companies spent a day together at the festival grounds in the Herzberg industrial estate. In previous years, Goodwill Day always took place at the height of summer and was often simply too hot for the participants. This year, we decided to move the event to September to avoid this. Surprised by the hot temperatures, however, this plan only worked to a limited extent. It was a different kind of heat, but Goodwill Day seems to have leased the good weather.
Around 1000 people flocked to the MC Car festival site at half past nine and immersed themselves in a colourful atmosphere. In addition to the large main stage, on which the rock'n roll band "The Flying Rockets" and Linda Helterhoff performed live, there was a wide range of offers.
At Medizintechnik & Sanitätshaus Kröger GmbH, visitors could test out the wheelchair course; there were games, sports and exercise in the activity hall, a large graffiti wall invited visitors to get creative with spraying, jewellery making, a photo box, henna tattoos and souvenir stands.
Many a hidden talent was discovered on the interactive stage while singing, dancing or rapping.
The XXL giant darts or bullriding rodeo as well as sitting basketball were incredibly fun and everyone could try their hand.
All in all, a successful festival in the best weather and sunshine - unthinkable without the many helpers in the background and supporters, such as Sparkasse Elbe-Elster, the Bundeswehr, Lebenshilfe Eksterkreis, the ELSTERWERK Foundation, Mineralquellen Bad Liebenwerda, Haus der Vielfalt and the German Red Cross. We would also like to thank the numerous supporters from the community and local politics, not forgetting Mr Dirk
Ebenroth, who once again made the area available to us. Many thanks for the excellent organisation.
Thanks to: Rahel Thomsen and her team, the building services and the Integra Profil team.
