We protect and preserve the habitat of the sand lizard

Here, on the grounds of the high ropes course, sand lizards also have their habitat.

The sand lizard is a strictly protected species and European species protection legislation requires its protection - including breeding and resting sites.

This is why we have preserved the sand lizards' habitat here on our property. During the construction period, a reptile fence protected the animals from the dangers of the building work.

Individual sand lizards living in the construction area were captured and relocated to the protected habitat. To ensure that all sand lizards find food and shelter in their habitat, we have also created piles of stones and brushwood as hiding and hibernation places as well as sandy areas for sunbathing and egg-laying.

Please do not enter the sand lizards' habitat. The agile lizards can be observed from a distance of 2 to 3 metres on the piles of stones and wood at the edges of the habitat.
