International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Today , Sunday 3 December 2023 - is not only the 1st Advent but also International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Everyone is entitled to dignity, rights and well-being.
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is intended to remind people of this on 3 December each year. The UN initiated this global day for people with disabilities on 3 December 1992 - it will be officially celebrated in 2003.

The ELSTERWERK also aims to enable and further improve the participation of people with disabilities in all areas of life.

We make a valuable contribution to inclusion in our society with our work at ElsterWerk - with our workshops (WfbM), our residential centres, our integrative day care centres and especially with our lively meeting place ElsterPark in Herzberg.

The Day of People with Disabilities is intended to keep people's awareness of this issue alive and remind them of it every year.
